The Flat Holm Project is part of Cardiff Harbour Authority of Cardiff Council's Economy,
Enterprise and Infrustructure service. It operates to conserve the history and wildlife of Flat Holm.
A voluntary group, the Flat Holm Society
helps the Flat Holm Project in many areas of its work. The Project operates with the support of the
Countryside Council for Wales and the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
The Flat Holm Project manages and provides access to Flat Holm Island in the Bristol Channel. It has three main areas of operation:
•· Conservation of the important natural and cultural features on Flat Holm island;
•· Development of the island as a public resource for education in its widest sense.
Since 1996 it has been operated by Cardiff County Council and is now part of the Economy Enterprise & Infrastructure Service.
